About Me

I'm Dale Salter, a software engineer based in New York. My focus areas include AI, software engineering, leadership, and observability.

I started my career in Melbourne, Australia, joining A Cloud Guru as the first employee in 2015. Over four years, I witnessed the company grow from one person to over 600 employees. During that time, I worked on critical platform components including video delivery, course management, billing systems, and content search.

After four years in product leadership, I transitioned to leading a DevOps team in Austin, Texas. There, I established best practices for 19 product teams using a Serverless Golden Path approach.

A Cloud Guru was acquired by Pluralsight in 2021, which was the 2nd largest tech acquisition in Australian history.

Currently, I work at Capital One as an AI engineer on the travel and concierge team.
